Flappy Bird 4 is a fan-made sequel to the classic arcade game, rebuilt around a fair, deterministic engine.

How to play

• Flap: tap the screen, or press Space / ↑ / W. Taps just before a state change are buffered.
• Ability: tap the round button, or press A / E. It needs a full energy bar (earned by combos, perfects and grazes), max 3 uses a run.
• Pause: P or Esc. Mute: M. Debug overlay: `.
• Scoring: pipe = 10 × combo multiplier (x1-x5). Pass near the centre to build a combo, scrape an edge and it resets. Graze (near miss) +8, perfect line +15, star +5, gem +25.
• Medals were rebalanced for this scoring: (scaled per mode). Version 3 gave +1 per pipe with medals at 100-750, so old scores are shown separately.
• Same playfield on every device, so scores are comparable. Levels are built from patterns and validated against the real flap physics.
• Hazards always show a warning first: bats flash a marker and their sweep range, wind gusts show a lane.
• Pure and Ability runs have separate bests and ranks. Ability skins are off in Classic.
• Daily Challenge: a new twist every UTC day, identical pipes and rules for everyone. Play daily to build a streak.
• Ghost: your best run replays beside you (Settings, or "Race ghost" after a run). Practice: pick a start pace, crashes respawn you, nothing is saved.
• Survival: three hearts, shrinking gaps, gems heal. Time Attack: 60 seconds, crashes cost 5s, stars +1.5s, gems +3s.
